Kenny Wayne Shepherd presents: 10 Days Out.... Blues From the Backroads

Easily one of the coolest things I have ever worked on..... definitely deserving of a longer explanation, and your viewing....

Love Hate Love

I worked on this along with all the engineers at One Union Recording, doing editing, sound design and mixing. Very powerful story.

Village Music: Last of the Great Record Stores

A great documentary I worked on with Gillian and Monroe Grisman about the legendary Mill Valley, CA music mecca that was Village Music. I was thrilled to be asked to mix some live performances which appear in the film. The Mill Valley Film Festival awarded this Best Documentary in 2012.

here's a cool trailer.....

One of the first jobs I ever got at One Union Recording was working on this Dockers ad. They were looking for some kind of signature sound to end the spot, so I pulled a whole bunch of different things and basically started layering them together in different configurations. The producer, Dan Watson, came in and had me roll down the list of about 20 different things I had been given free reign for an hour or two to come up with. One of them made him say "wait a minute, play that one again....." It is the sound that happens at the end of this spot, under the logo when the VO says "calling all men, it's time to wear the pants..."

Dockers ended up using it in this commercial, which aired during the Super Bowl; and they used it on a ton of spots afterwards, as well.

Not too bad for my first gig in post production sound design......
